POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
- Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
- The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.
FORMAT:
- All players will participate in an 18-hole stroke-play championship
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place. In the event of a tie for first place only, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff following the conclusion of regular play.
REGISTRATION:
All players must check in at the SCGA registration table outside the main entrance of the clubhouse. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- The championship will be a 9 a.m. shotgun.
- Players are encouraged to arrive at the facility well in advance of the shotgun start to register, warm up, and get situated in their golf carts for the championship announcements ahead of the shotgun start.
TEES & YARDAGES:
- All yardages and course information can be found under the “Championship Information” tab located on the Championship Portal.
- Men will play will from the SCGA tee markers: 6,486 yards / Course Rating: 71.3 / Slope Rating: 126
- *Holes 3, 5, 8, 10, 16 & 17 will play from the blue yardage. All other holes will be played from the championship yardage.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Due to current club policy, practice rounds will not be available for this championship.
DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will be available by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the championship.
- Range balls will be provided compliments of Newport Beach CC and the SCGA.
FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:
- The Wedge (snack bar located near the golf shop) will be open from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.
- Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are included with the entry fee; however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on golf carts).
- Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $10 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
